As a member of the NMA you will:
- through affiliation to the British Massage Therapy Council (BMTC), be kept up to date with current national developments regarding professional standards, the regulation of the profession and access to the proposed national register of massage practitioners as this is developed
- have access to peer supervision
- be able to subscribe to a common code of ethics
- have contact with fellow practitioners and access to resources with opportunities to share skills and experience
- have access through the NMA Directory to members' special interests and skills
- have access to the public through the NMA website and the BMTC website
- have the opportunity to contribute to policy development and to be involved in inter-disciplinary networking
- participate in continuing professional development courses and workshops in massage and related areas
- contribute to the raising of public awareness regarding the value of holistic and therapeutic massage
- in event of complaint have support for yourself and your clients
- have the right to use the NMA logo on your publicity and stationery and to wear an NMA T-shirt
